Some may know, the server is not working. What they don't know is that they're client is out dated. There was a new client released on the date of June 21,2009. Here are the steps to start playing.
1. Download v.62 maplestory from if not done. (See below)
2. Download winrar if you don't already have it. (See below)
3. Download the new client from http:://smokyms.tk under the tab "How to Play".
4.Extract the files from smokyms to the maplestory folder using winrar.
5.Navigate to the C:Nexon\Maplestory folder and look for the smokyms client.
6. Click on the patcher and patch the folder
7. Make a shortcut and place it on the desktop for easy access.
8. Open the game and start playing (the game is SmokyOnline).
Notes: The server is auto-register, and the download may take a while to start downloading. I'll ask Scene or someone with the client to upload it on mediafire.

sorry i might sounds retarded but what do you mean by patch the folder?

i hardly have problems with running servers but this one has been nothing but trouble please help

server is OFFLINE MAYBE because i cant even start the game i installed many times but no connection pls if u escribe how it will be great

but i solved it

question is: when you put the Client and v.62 together. Does it say "replace the files?" <---hate that motherFKing mmessage (pisses me off a LOT!)

i solved it by installing the client first then installing v.62
first, after you downloaded the client (SmOkyOnlineSetup), put it in a folder adn double click it. Go through all the crap inside and install it to the same folder you downloaded the client to....
get it?
then put v.62 into the same folder and install v.62 to the same folder?
get it?
just read carefully and it should work

server's offfline is because the owner is on his fucking stupid vacation
without telling us when he/she will be back.

Server is down. I've been away for a awhile.

NEWS: Server is currently down

When it asks you to replace a file, replace it. The client is now named SmokyOnline, not SmokyMS.

wow, he said he renamed the game. but if you go to the homepage download link its still SmokyOnlineSetup
